Looks like this a reissue beer from almost a decade ago. I liked it a lot back then. This new iteration is tasty, but not hitting like 2013. Very bourbon forward with the vanilla notes I come to expect from BBA wheat wines. Maple is kinda mixed up.

Barrel and booze meets bitterness that is subdued by sweet maple syrup. Thin, but good.

Not as much barrel on it as before, so not as good, but still good enough to drink.

A bit of fusel that dissipates a bit as it warms. Never had this the first time it was around, so it was fun to try. Nice maple that doesn’t overwhelm.

Last time I had this was 2013 according to Untappd. Sticky sweet, boozy, fine. Thanks John.

Wow. Santa was very, very generous this year….sweet, rich, decadent, unctuous. Many, many thanks for the Xmas gift bottle, Kevin Ihlang!

Pretty good, but pales in comparison to the original 2013 release. Not sure what happened, but the original was on another level. If interested, The Beer PaTroll YouTube review can be found here: https://youtu.be/GysI6vh9FbU

Lighter in color than i was expecting for maple and bourbon barrel aged. I almost get a maraschino cherry and almond extract taste in this

Delicious. Needed it after wasting a few hours on taxes tonight. 🖕🏻 H&R Block, TurboTax, and all other tax prep companies for continually lobbying to keep the process unnecessarily complicated.

Cherry and maple syrup on the nose. Some wood flavor but mostly the syrup flavor offsets the hop bitterness. Boozy too.

LCI. Wtf Founder's...wish you learned your lesson. RIP Detroit taproom. Solid beer though. Maple, tons of fruit, leather, very drinkable.
