From a week ago. Wheat wine style ale aged in both regular bourbon barrels and maple syrup bourbon barrels. Sweet with bourbon, maple syrup, caramel, vanilla, and oak. Excellent beer!

Sweet and smooth, good bit of barrel bitterness. Overall pretty much excellent.

Slightest note of yeast hints at the wheat in the wheat wine; otherwise it’s boozy with bourbon. Might be a touch of wood too. Maple has become sweet only.

See initial review of Sweet Repute. Holds up well for a cellared/refrigerated 20 month old.

Perfect amount of maple for me, medium-thin body, moderate booze......rounding up.

Solid wheat wine. Sweet maple and caramel notes, boozy but not cloying or overdone. Well done.

Wasn’t sure what to make of it by reading the description. But it is quite good. Barrel comes through with some sweetness

Glad this one is back. Great beer. Lots going on. Nice bitterness, balanced by sweet. Drops the hammer too

A big wheat wine that conceals the big ABV pretty well. Drinks easy, but definitely packs a bourbon wallop. Softened by a hint of maple sweetness. Will definitely warm you up on the way down.

I had it in a glass weeks before this, didn’t take a picture and I just got lazy. Hah. Anyway, a delicious wheat wine with a maple and bourbon mixture that comes off as almost like a butterscotch character. Glad they brought this one back.

Other than Bigfoot, I’m not a fan of barley wine, but I do like wheat wine. This is really tasty. Another solid Founders creation.

The sweetness of the maple syrup and the notes of the bourbon barrel blend amazingly with the wheat wine for an outstanding beer, that doesnt seem like it’s 12.8 percent.

Syrupy sweet, medicinal, strong. Bubbly sticky caramel. Paired with Beef.
