Strong coffee nose. Black as anthracite coal. Lots of chocolate and a malty sweetness. Super smooth mouthfeel. Like a whipped latte. Great character with a rich roasted malt bill yielding complex notes of smoke, coffee and dark chocolate. 8.3 Abv

I absolutely love the KBS lineup but I’ve actually never had the OG. It’s a banger for sure. Big coffee and dark chocolate notes.

Honeslty probably the first time I’ve had this beer but it was a nightcap tonight. Also it was bottled a year ago. Still really delicious. Chocolatey, some coffee notes, with a smooth roasty taste. Not super sweet which was good.

Very strong coffee flavor but not as bad as others I’ve had that have the super strong coffee taste. Not a bad night cap

Finally able to taste this stout icon. Well crafted beer with nothing to hide behind. Dark, bitter, sweet, and a solid mouthful of roasty coffee. Warm but the ABV is still well dissimulated while giving pleasant hints of boozy coffee. 4.15.

Dig. You get a touch of “pepper” from aged coffee, but it kinda settles into tobacco and i dig.

Not really getting the chocolate, but def coffee is the main thing…nose, palate, finish. Really tasty for the abv. Head lingers for awhile. #4

Been getting into stouts more lately, maybe inspiration from my friend Thomas C. This is one of the best I've had, good stout from Founders!
