A beer store around the corner from my Airbnb had this. Put a smile on my face, and in the cockles of my heart. Maybe below the cockles, maybe in the sub-cockle area, maybe in the liver, maybe in the kidneys, maybe even in the colon, we don't know. 🍺🥰

I’ve been up for nearly 22 hours, I think a barrel aged Imperial stout will be may be my last for this evening. Bitter coffee off set by sweet whisky booze.

En bouche c est assez épais, café froid, un peu de chocolat mais surtout le bourbon qui ressort bien et qui réchauffe pour finir sur une note sèche boisée. Clairement le barrel age est en avant, dominant, mais pas écoeurant

This one was from 2018 and still has a little boozy kick but so smooth with the coffee and chocolate notes. Amazing.

Bottle is on the older side I think as all the flavors are pretty melded together. Was very drinkable but the coffee and chocolate didn't stand out to me this time

Nice full mouthfeel, pleasant chocolate taste (perhaps a bit of coffee in the aftertaste), not too boozy. Intriguing aroma, reminiscent of the wood of the barrel in which it was aged or of whisky.
