Boozy. Nice burnt sugar aroma. Toffee. Boozy and some dried fruit. Almost a cola taste..

Dark caramel color. Bourbon scent. Noticeably 11% with a hint of vanilla. Bottle art reminiscent of a Peter Straub specter.

Fresh and dense... one of the better iterations in my opinion

Bottled 02/13/23, still boozy but also richly malty and caramelly, with barrel-aged bourbon and scotch barrel flavours

Pretty good. Definitely boozy and slightly sweet. A little bit watery. Strong. Cheers 🍻

[bottled 07.24.23]First 2023 iteration. The Bastard is normally my trail beer; nothing like a 11% scotch ale when summiting. Occasionally I consider it ok to sip at home. More toffee, roasty notes this year and less barrel-aged character(a disappointment)

Nice & smooth with a sweet malty caramelly slightly spiced boozy flavor. Went well with our grilled Italian Sausage dinner. It is also a very good after dinner sipping beer.

My palate is excited - thanks, Founders. Cheers to full day 3 in Naples. Love the humidity and we finally got some sun today!
