KBS Hazelnut (2022)

Definitely getting the nutella vibes along with the brawny bourbon barrel... loads of flavor and I'm finding that these KBS variants taste best fresh.

KBS Cinnamon Vanilla Cocoa (2021)

From last night... it's an enjoyable dessert stout, lots of vanilla, the cinnamon is present but is kind of overpowered... would have liked a bigger presence... warm and boozy, good stuff but I much prefer the unadulterated original.

So well executed, solid malt structure and roasty chocolate flavor, an absolute steal at less than $3... should have bought more while I had the chance.

KBS Espresso (2021)

Very good stuff with big chocolate and bourbon barrel character, rich and smooth but I found that earlier vintages had a bigger espresso character, this year is more chocolate and sweeter.

Kentucky Bourbon Stout (KBS) (2021)

The real deal! Smooth and velvety body, big flavors of coffee and dark chocolate over a bourbon barrel base, with a bitter finish, all is in balance and delicious. Always drinks best fresh in my opinion.

Kriek 100% Lambic (2021)

Damn that's some great stuff... an unexpected surprise to find this on tap tonight... fantastic density and funky complexity, nice acidity on the finish.

Dirty Bastard

Smooth and rich malts, not overly sweet, nice charred toast character, notes of barrel with an appreciable hop punch on the finish. 2019 bottle.

Rosé de Gambrinus (2016)

It's our 14th anniversary so we're having something special, amazing as expected, maybe even better, funky nose leads into a complex middle where the dance of fruit, wild yeast and funk flavors continue... fantastic stuff!!

Fresh Start

It's fresh enough, and it's a start, a decent enough New England style IPA, soft and easy drinking, if somewhat one dimensional.

KBS Espresso

The coffee has faded considerably since my previous bottle, but there's still a nice bourbon barrel and roasted malt presence, with a big bitterness to end things out.
