Really great. Very distinct oaky-bourbon flavors, but not overwhelming.

Fantastic beer. This one will warm you. I’ve malty flavor to start fades to a balanced finish. Hints of whiskey and oak. Very tasty.

Holy crap this is smooth and the vanilla and spices from the bourbon come through wonderfully 🥃 11%

Розлив февраль 2019го. Выдержанная бутылка. В аромате квашеная капуста, бурбон, карамель и жженка. Во вкусе жженая карамель, тёмный солод. Хочется смаковать. Великолепная срань.

Beautiful dark ruby red beer. Caramel from the malts along with cherry. The bourbon barrel aging gives it this vanilla note that works so well with it altogether. It’s equally beautiful to look at, smell, and taste. Love this.

Bottle from December 2019, cellared about a year. Big difference and SO smooth. If you've got some of this, put it away got a while and you will be pleased with the result.

I’ve never not enjoyed a Founders Barrel Aged Series beer. Backwoods Bastard was no different. While it doesn’t quite hit the mark for me like KBS does, it’s a close second.
