It's been a while since i've had a Founders, the last time was in Korea getting on for 2 years ago! This is a beast, whisky, smokey, caramel. A gift from my brother, good tipple. Bottled 14.10.21.

Thin head, reddish brown color. A bourbon smell, but not too strong. Stronger bourbon taste, but it's muted by the malt and hops. These is a sour and bitter to it that I can't quite place. It's OK.

Deep mahogany. Bourbon malt scent. Medium to full body. Scotch and bourbon up front with caramel and date flavors over a malty base with whiffs of smoke on the back end.

Just opened this bottle of 2018. Super mellow, and the caramel scotch-i-ness really shines.

Carries a solid, roasty, mostly bitter profile. Oak side dominates.

Now this is good. Wonderfully boozy, sweet figgy, date-y, slightly hay-ish both in nose and taste.

No beer does “give it a few sips” better than this. Remains one of the most unique ambrosias thine buds hath tasted.

Very interesting beer. Sweetness and maybe a bourbon overtone.
