Beautiful dark ruby red beer. Caramel from the malts along with cherry. The bourbon barrel aging gives it this vanilla note that works so well with it altogether. It’s equally beautiful to look at, smell, and taste. Love this.

Bottle from December 2019, cellared about a year. Big difference and SO smooth. If you've got some of this, put it away got a while and you will be pleased with the result.

I’ve never not enjoyed a Founders Barrel Aged Series beer. Backwoods Bastard was no different. While it doesn’t quite hit the mark for me like KBS does, it’s a close second.

Feels like fall, looks like summer. Besides everything is brown

Bottled 12.17.20. This is excellent. The description is 🎯. And I paid about $3.50/bottle for two bottles.

I do love me some Wee Heavys. And barrel aged to boot. Win/Win

Bourbon, rum raisin, sweet malt. Smooth and lightly bitter to balance out the taste. Excellent.

Toffee, molasses, oak, bourbon, spices, caramel, smokey. My favorite American made Scotch style ale.

Everything it tells you is true. Heavy flavorful. Doesn't really leave you with a tongue coat like most dark beers. Worth the extra money. Completely recommend.

The sun backlighting gives it a nice color. Great beer in a nice spot!
