KBS Blueberry

Stout - Imperial / Double Coffee

It’s time to celebrate two decades of barrel-aging imperial stouts with KBS Blueberry. In honor of the 20th anniversary of KBS, we’ve given this legendary beer a dose of Michigan blueberries. The alluring aroma of dessert brings you in, while layers of vanilla, coffee, chocolate, oak and bourbon barrel notes become more profound with every sip. A sweet and sophisticated tribute to a world-renowned beer

Roasty coffee, hints of dark chocolate, lots of sweet blueberries. Barrel-aged, lightly warming. ABV not hidden, but still subtle (IMO). Chocolate and sweetness increase with warming, while blueberry and coffee blend in more. Thanks for suggesting, Joe.

They can't make CBS any more but they can make this?!? Not bad but time to get back to basics

Creamy. Lots of flavor, and the blueberry is there but subtle. Glad I gave this a try!🍻

Tastes more blueberry when it's cold and just extra sweet as it warms.

Not as good as standard KBS. The palpable blueberry saves this one

So rich! Last beer from last night. Not from a defunct brewery (but I know plenty of people who wish it were). Had no idea there were so many KBS varieties now. This had big blueberry aroma, not much blueberry taste.

I could pick-up a nice blueberry scent but it didn’t have much of a blueberry flavor. It was negligible or very subtle. Otherwise, good beer. Hazelnut is still my favorite by far of all the barrel aged series!

TAG

11.2% ABV BBA Imperial Stout. Chocolate and blueberries are predominant with undertones of vanilla, coffee, and oak. Too sweet or would be rated higher.

Really blueberry forward. So much so that it overpowers the base. I like blueberries, so I like this beer.

Clearly fruitier than other KBS offerings. Almost overpowering, but some maple, oak & vanilla flavors creep through. My feeling is this one will improve with age.

Always a good idea to bring a lot of air in on the KBS. Nice beer from a great brewery. Go visit GR.

Very happy I found this beer. Blueberry is perfect, nice sweetness at the front, the barrel aged quality complements nicely. Not mind blowing in any way, but also nothing but pleasant. Shout out to total wine in Raleigh, amazing beer selection
