KBS Blueberry

Stout - Imperial / Double Coffee

It’s time to celebrate two decades of barrel-aging imperial stouts with KBS Blueberry. In honor of the 20th anniversary of KBS, we’ve given this legendary beer a dose of Michigan blueberries. The alluring aroma of dessert brings you in, while layers of vanilla, coffee, chocolate, oak and bourbon barrel notes become more profound with every sip. A sweet and sophisticated tribute to a world-renowned beer

I get a taste of maple along with subtle blueberry in the middle. Makes you think your having blueberry pancakes for breakfast! Super good!

I was cautious, wondering how different this would be from the infamous Lizard of Kozz. The blueberry, and especially the chocolate, are much more subdued.

N: Rich & sweet with bourbony aromas of dark chocolate, stewed fruits, oak and subtle coffee notes. P: The Blueberry is at the forefront and it's almost too much. Overly sweet bordering on cloying. I wanted to love this one but the balance misses the mark

A very good stout but I’m primarily tasting blueberry with little or no coffee notes

Thick and pretty boozy. The blueberry is there, though.

I like this a lot! Not an every day thing but a solid dessert beer. Not overly sweet but definitely sweet.

Founders added a dose of Michigan blueberries to their bourbon barrel aged Coffee Stout. They did it to honor the beer’s 20th anniversary. It’s thick, chewy, roasted, and a little fruity with malt, chocolate, coffee, bourbon, oak, vanilla, and blueberries

Happily surprised this was still on. Don’t get much blueberry. But still adds a light fruitiness to the solid KBS base
