Ran across these at Party Pak in Indy. No longer in production, so I picked up a couple fours! Still great, but does seem less maple syrupy than I remember. Still solid though.

Decadent to the max. Better than a cup of caffe mocha, maple builds as you drink, the BA character somehow takes a backseat. Always good having some CBS.

Midnight black with a gorgeous tan head. Fragrant nose of dark roast, malts, maple syrup, and bourbon. Taste is complex: coffee, chocolate, bourbon, dark malts, alcohol, and maple. Finishes very boozey. Burnt ends. Bourbon. Smoke. Sweet maple syrup.

Had one last one ferreted away. Such a a great beer. Balanced well, lot going on. Really a shame Founders axed this one.

Amazingly smooth and creamy, with just the right blend of coffee and chocolate/mocha tastes. Delicious!

I miss CBS. It's way better than any of the KBS variants they've released. I'm surprised they didn't just rebrand this beer as a KBS variant. The bourbon has died down over the years & coffee is more prominent now. Still better than all the KBS variants.
