Dark chocolate, some malty off-dry 'sweetness', some coffee/espresso and some vanilla. Fruity and just a hint of acidity.

Stout with chocolate, fruity and nutty flavours and a hint of coffee. Reasonably dry - off-dry. Definitely not sweet. Slightly acidic.

Big rye whisky notes which more or less always work well with impys. However, impy isn't quite up to the match. Like the flavor profile overall that pairs well with the barrel notes, but it feels bit thin and can't quite measure up. Up the base beer abv?
