Goat Star

IPA - Quadruple

This QIPA is part 4 of The Winter Skies series, celebrating the stars of the winter season. A double dry-hop of Idaho 7, The Bruce and Citra gives you notes of white currant, pineapple and peach on top of a soft body. Find the quadruple star system that forms the goat star while the tropical taste lifts you up.

Wonderful ripe tropical fruit candy liquer smell. Thick sweet honeydew melon, clouberry infused white dessert wine, lingering sweet lemon peel and chalky ending with subtle stone. More acetone and apple seeds with time. Over the top, love it. Fantastic -.

Thnx Pia M. for the sample; No tasting notes; Slightly oxidized appearance, lacks hop saturation, tropical fruit candy, green kiwi, melon; dangerously drinkable for 12% abv, gentle spicy alcohol without any warmth

To už je na mě moc masakr. Radši hořké slabší kousky, než tenhle alkoholický nasládlý masakr. Ale rád jsem zkusil čtyřnásobnou IPAu ;-)

Tydelig høj alkoholprocent. Og fornemmelsen af sødlig frugt. Men alkoholen træder for meget frem.

Not quite sure what I gain from all the extra percentages, compared to a DIPA. But not totally overwhelmingand quite balanced if a beer like this can be called so. EDIT: one hour and half a can in, I have to edit this: the aftertaste is simply too boozy.

Interesting quad ipa that's not quite there on it's own. But combined with a well aged Gruyere it's quite pleasant.

Strangely gentle tastewise, except for the booziness. Not bad, pretty cool, but no favorite!

Thick and somewhat sweet and boozy but that is to be expected for the style, I suppose. Floral, herbaceous, lemon, peach, heavy hop saturation and artificial sweetness. Not much difference from an average TIPA/QIPA but with a quite pleasant taste profile
