my first 120 minute, super complex hoppy barleywine with that boozy kick, 10+ years later.

Aged incredibly well. Drinking like a mellow barleywine. Zero harshness; minimal booze; nice raisen-y malt flavors predominate.

The beer I'm drinking is the one that was aging in 2013.... it's strong and smooth👍

I didn’t realize I held on to this that long lol. The date was hard to see until I poured the bottle. Anyway, it tastes more like a barleywine. I don’t taste hops but I do get a smooth caramel flavor (& aroma)which makes me like this.

Aged 9 years. Butterscotch, vanilla, with a mellow malt backbone

I see other people had the same idea, a 120 on 1/20. This aged amazingly well!

Not as good as the 2012, but the fact it’s 10 yrs old still says something. Has a sharper bite or punch than the 2012, not sure if it’s soured a little.

Ovile….#2. Sour nose. Cloudier than 2012. Not AS good but still drinkable amongst friends.

Yum. Hops are still surprisingly strong after 10 years. Verticals of 120min are dangerous due to the amount of leftovers… capping in preparation for ANOTHER share later this week…

I bought this at a random liquor store in Indianapolis in 2013. This beer is always a hot mess, fresh. But, with some age on it, it really starts to shine like the barleywine it actually is. Figs, toffee, raisins, bitter, pleasant boozy warmth.

7 years in the wine refrigerator. Worth the wait

Basically a barleywine. Sweet, caramel, and slight oxidation.

Bottled: 2/15/13. Little to no hop flavor remains, pretty much all malt. Very good for sitting in the bottle over 8 years! Very sweet malt with very little alcohol burn for the high ABV.

Stashed for a very long time, still solid flavor. 4-5 years are the best age for my liking on 120 just a bit past it’s prime for this one. 4.15

Kevan’s Cellar Clean-Out #33: This fish is still swimming. Crazy to say that, but it’s still pretty solid. Incredible.

Bottle says "ages well" but I don't think they meant 10 years. Found this on a back shelf in the basement. More malty than hoppy, but still surprisingly good.

Showing its age. A lot of sediment. Not holding up at this point.

Smells better than it tastes. Thanks for sharing Casey H.

Pretty good. Very mellow compared to a fresh bottle. The malt is really shining through with an almost chocolatey character. Honestly I am less impressed than I was expecting but it's still really good.
