Malty. Has held up well, but I don't get the fruit notes.

Malty. Very malty. The hops are subdued and this is reminiscient of bigfoot. Not barrel aged barrel .

Date forward. Most of the carbonation has fled. Nowhere near as boozy as it could/should be, in a good and dangerous way.

Figgy, boozey, sweet. Little too flat for my liking, but 11 years will do that

Dry wood, maple/molasses, mild sweetness, dark fruit like figs. Woody finish. Not as sweet as I remember more recent vintages. Awesome. Thanks Dave!

Pairs well with Bob Weir and the Wolf Brothers, 3/17/21. Happy St Patty’s Day!

Though this has mellowed with age, you still get the flavor of the dates in with all the sweetness.

From Extreme Beer Fest Session 2. Got the 9yr old version. Definitely getting the fig and dates notes. Also molasses, Irish whiskey, cola, dried fruit. Booze is huge, drinks more like whiskey than barleywine. Mellow, lots of flavor for 9yrs old.

EBF - Beer #11. A 2012 vintage. And it was great! It was smooth and good raisin taste. But really I gotta thank Ben for all of these. Thanks for a great gift!

Tastes absolutely delicious! There's raisin, fig, leather, & tobacco, in the most delicious way! Doesn't taste very boozy to me. Tastes like a 11% not 15%.

This is very smooth and you wouldn’t know that it is 15% ABG. That said, it is also very sweet and though i loved the first 6 oz, the last 6 oz took some effort. Still well worth the time.

Fantastic. Very forward on the barrel, a little (but still pleasant) booze bite. Nice and mellow after 8 years. The usual caramel and toffee notes.

From deep in the cellar-late check in of the superb aged beer. So smooth for 15%.
