Woody, boozy and roasty. The strongest brown ale I have consumed to date.

Not bad, but the booziness kind of overwhelms the flavor of the brown ale.

Heavy sweet brown ale. Dark and smooth. Fine drinker.

Catch up - round 2 - deep, raisin-ish, date-like sweetness and oak up the whazoo. This one aged decently too and got even stronger in aroma, and fall spices that set well with cherry pie.

Excellent! I love a good brown ale, and this most definitely fits the bill.

Not bad. I like the maltiness/sweetness. Definitely a bit heavy for my taste but I would get it again. Thanks Ross J.!

Nice vanilla fruity nose that follows to palate with a nice caramel semi burnt molasses note. Nice head. Dark as night.

Smooth. Hints of barrel land booze. Well balanced. Hides the 12% well.

This is damn good. Tastes like the embers of a campfire built by your own hands with oak you split yourself.

Somehow I found this in Iowa City. Itโs been a while. Still smooth, mild booziness (for 12%!), love that woody goodness

This is special stuff, love it. And love the barrel-aged version, too. Yum!

Nice beer, especially with colder weather coming. Woody, a little sweet, subtle hoppiness.

Excellent darker brown ale with strong boozy/alcohol flavor to it. Excellent flavor, but pretty strong tasting... More like alcohol than beer

Fantastic imperial ale, the aging in wood barrels add a unique taste, with some subtle caramel flavors and slight booziness

Malty with a nice cooked caramel flavor. Really dark in glass. Paired well with Cowboys first half.
