World Wide Stout

Stout - Imperial / Double

Brewed with a ridiculous amount of barley, World Wide Stout is dark, rich, roasty and complex. This ageable ale clocks in at 15-20% ABV and has a depth more in line with a fine port than with a can of cheap, mass-marketed beer.

In a class of its own. Definitely edging over into the world of port, or even brandy. It’s nice to let the ultra-serious malt vill come through without barrel aging, but now I have to find and try the BA versions!

Brought this one from MD to NM to celebrate something. About to move to Australia, so time to drink it! Amazing as usual from dogfish head. Super strong, thick, dark, coffee, chocolate, bold, looks like molasses.

2022 variant. 18% should put me in a good mood for work, right? Amazing roasted barley notes in this. Smoky, milk chocolate, hints of coffee and caramel, really nice sweet and dry balance, and a bit of warmth at the end.

Pour it in a glass, let it air, grab that glass with pinky out, spin it around gently under your nose, and savor that delicious density. It drinks like a barleywine, with the high abv masked enough by a well-formulated brew formula. #liquidart
