not nearly as boozy as the proof would suggest, heavy on the chocolate and dark fruits in the background

Just sweet enough to give the deep, dark, roasty booze (18%) some context. Somewhat mouthcoating. Rich.

I have no idea where my previous check in's went on this beer.

Pitch black pour with a brown head. Fig, raisin, date, chocolate, toffee, caramel nose. The dark fruit starts it off. The caramel, chocolate and toffee back it up. Thick, full body. Some burn that tells you it's a sipper. Delicious.

Believe this is the 2021 batch - fantastic sipper. Nice cocoas and roast with a pleasant warmth at the end

Amazing beer. Stope what you’re doing and enjoy this gem.

Very nice. Was expecting to like it. Don’t consider it boozy.

Lots of malt flavor that ebbs to a crisp hops that lingers on the palette and blends with Bourbon from the aged casks in a silky smooth symphony that lights up the taste buds.

5+ years on this - roasty malt, toffee, cocoa, coffee note - boozy with a warming hit and earthy bitterness. Great.

I have never had a stout from Dogfish Head. This was damn good. It's honesty everything you want in a stout. Dark, smooth, creamy. The ABV is unreal. I would hughly recommend to all. Cheers!

LN. Rich and dark roasty. Some creaminess and smooth, especially for the abv.

Unknown vintage. I’m guessing late teens. Still boozy AF with hints of smooth roasty goodness. A sipper no doubt.
