Classic coffee chocolate stout. Somewhat unrated IMO

Canadian Breakfast Stout (CBS) (2018)

Maple and coffee has mellowed nicely. I wish the brew had a bit more ABV but I’m guessing cellaring took that away. It’s thin but I’m thinking it was thin to begin with back in the day.

Backwoods Bastard (2017)

Picking up way more smokey, oakly, spice notes than the old malty sweetness from original years. Can’t say aging didn’t help or hurt, but definitely changed the profile from malty to smoked/ oaky

Old school stout and even has a skull on label.

120 Minute IPA (2017)

It’s good, but the alcohol has really mellowed quite a bit. The malty has leveled as well, so at of the day, everything is well balanced. 4.40/5.00

Unknown vintage. I’m guessing late teens. Still boozy AF with hints of smooth roasty goodness. A sipper no doubt.

Syrax Rises

Meh on the beer, but the grilled lobster made everything tasted better.

Wake Up World Wide Stout

I have had better coffee stouts. Wanted this stout to be better but didn’t happen. Weak from front to back.

Curmudgeon’s Better Half (2018)

Wow! Impressive brew after a bit of aging. Super smooth mellow maltiness with hint of bourbon and maple. Wish I had another stowed away.

KBS Espresso (2019)

Now this is some morning coffee.

KBS Cinnamon Vanilla Cocoa (2021)

Bottled 9/3/2021. Not quite a year old but vanilla is definitely at the forefront. Not overly sweet but vanilla dominates.

Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS) (2020)

Drinking so much more mellow today. Hints of coffee and vanilla accommodate each other. Debating whether it is better today or back in 2020, but definitely drinks on the mellow side.

Fairly bitter for a session IPA but do able.
