120 Minute IPA (2018)

IPA - Imperial / Double

Clocking in at 15-20% ABV, 120 Minute IPA is continuously hopped with a copious amount of high-alpha American hops throughout the boil and whirlpool, and then dry-hopped with another pallet of hops. Unfiltered and abundently hoppy, it's the Holy Grail for hopheads! We brew 120 Minute IPA a few times a year, but it goes fast. If you find some grab a few bottles -- some to enjoy and some to age.

I've been aging this for nearly 2 years and 9 months and it doesn't disappoint. Tastes like a quite boozy american barleywine. Delicious! Merry Christmas everyone!

Pineapple mango orange juice on the nose. Tropical notes follow through with added peach and vanilla. Subtle tannins hop finish.

Insanely malty, boozy nose that is so strong itโ€™ll clear your sinuses. Slightly sweet malty flavor initially then your tastebuds are overwhelmed by booziness. Not sure this is beer anymore. Even warms your belly like liquor does. Bottled: 8/20/2018

Aging is always good for this beer. This one has lost booziness and sweetness. Great flavor. Missing it's punch.

After having the 2016 and seeing the potential for aging, I find this to be lacking but itโ€™s 1/20 after all so I had to. Hereโ€™s to 2024.

Hop bomb but malt sweetness definitely there to try to create a balance. Boozy and thick. Very tasty but very much a beer to sip and enjoy.

Aged 2.5 years. Magnificent. Sooo smooth after aging. Great imperial IPA flavor with subtle short finish. No burn. Never guess this is a 17% beer.

*Squeal* I canโ€™t believe I am finally having one. Like an IPA mixed with moonshine, and that is GOOD. Harsh and beautiful, like a chrome .45. Magical.

Spectacular. Bottled 04/19/18. Orange / amber / straw hue. Nose of malty Elmerโ€™s glue. Good CO2. Aging is interesting - seems like a barley wine or Belgian strong ale now. Still mucho boozy, but real strong malty side balanced with hops.

Bottled 2/11/2018. Badass alcohol punch and the sweetness is very slight. Pretty sure Iโ€™m a better man for drinking this brew.

03/22/18. Just about 3 years old and delicious. Covid makes it hard to share beer and I usually buy 2 cases of Dogfish danger cap beers every year. Now I have to drink them by myself. I mean I'm complaining but I'm not complaining, you know?

2021, sticky. Coffee and molasses. There a burnt tone, not sure if its wood or sugar. Barley up front. Definite grain to this one. Hops take a backseat, but the peel is there.
