What a treat: super boozy and yet very pleasant, caramelly, bitter with a mint finish. Awesome beer

Friday night with Dave. Things were getting hazey by this point and I don't mean the beers, heh. I'm told this fell off hard, but honestly I think I just don't like this beer. It's fucking gross. Drain poured most of mine.

This might be the 2018 version. Couldn’t tell by the date on the bottle. It’s old at any rate, and still very good

Malty sweetness up front and dries up towards the end of each sip. Almost a smoky oaky thing happening. Still a touch of bitterness, pretty sure this beer can age way longer. Definitely in Barleywine territory now. Happy 120th day of the year.

Despite the suggestion on the label, this did NOT stand up well to aging

Boozy nose. Sweeter than expected. Has definitely got better with age, IMO.

Smooth, no bite, stout-like, malty with a plum tongue.

Needed a strong one tonight. Been a LONG week already, ugh.

One of very few IPAs that I'll age. Somehow still a booze bomb. Have another '16 for the "decade or so" aging recommendation on the label.

Sweet malts, citrus & pine. Happy 120 day!

Seems to have aged extraordinarily well. April 2016 bottle date. Darkened up quite a bit, I think? Fair bit of sediment at the bottom of the bottle.

Wasn’t a fan. Definitely seems like a hoppy barleywine now.
