Siracusa Nera

Stout - Russian Imperial

Combining a roasty Imperial Stout with jammy Syrah wine notes, this beer is bold and complex. Notes of coffee, dark chocolate and anise from a blend of roasted malts meld with flavors of plums, cherries and stewed fruits from Syrah grape must in this jet black stout. Aged on American oak to add some light toasty vanilla to the mix.

Envasada/Comprada em 2018. Definitivamente um belo mix entre RIS e uva. Chocolate amargo, maltes tostados, notas vínicas, certa baunilha e carvalho na medida 👏🏻👏🏻

Still as awesome as I remember it. Excellent RIS and beyond excited that I am finishing my Hop City Anniversary experience with this beer.

Maybe this is a old bottle (couldn’t find a date) or maybe this is how it’s supposed to taste.. but this is sour. Resembles (bad) red wine more than a stout. Not into it, couldn't finish it.

A 2020 brew, doesn’t seem to be at heavy on the port wine flavor. Seems like a better balance this year.

Good stout to watch Les Claypool videos with.

A delicious aroma, and well-balanced, with the oak coming through really nicely at the end, but it really lacks the depth and complexity you’d expect from a beer like this, especially in the thin aftertaste. Some cool flavors but nothing mind blowing

Perhaps, it's mostly suggestion, but I get mouthful of dark grape with the beer. It's a little sweet and definitely deep.

This one takes your tastebuds to the woodshed ... literally. Crazy flavors swirling around, but it’s a blend that’s hard to pinpoint. Interesting stuff ...
