Oak-Aged Vanilla World Wide Stout

Stout - Imperial / Double

Brewed with a ridiculous amount of barley, we've now taken this Dogfish Head classic and aged it on oak with real vanilla beans! With a little tender love and care we foster this beer from smooth, sweet wort into the big, bad blackend stout it always longed to be. Its bold, port-like complexity goes great with (or as) dessert.

Wow! Big and boozy up front. That’s where the oak is too. Vanilla and some raisin follow with a creamy but still boozy finish. 2018.

Love this beer. I am a huge fan of vanilla and that flavor comes out beautifully in this beer. Better with age!

Love untappd. Kinda forgot that I got 2 of these bottles 3 yrs ago...still great, however I’m getting just a little twang...is it souring? Not sure but might have needed to be drank a year ago...basement setup isn’t consistent temp.

Okay, so, stay with me here. Had a crazy idea and made a black and, uh, sour (?) with the WWS and Fruit Full Fort. Surprisingly good! Not as sweet and gooey as FFF, but without the lingering aftertaste of the WWS. Full-bodied, boozy and yummy!

As good a 17.5% stout as you will find.. deep roasty coffee and chocolate notes with oak and hint of vanilla.. shared with my pop

Head 2 Head with Dragon’s Milk. BOTH are faves. 1st off even 3 yrs age vs fresh DFH is boozy as hell (17.5 vs 11% makes sense) idkw it’s gonna smooth out🤷🏻‍♂️ DM has the drink ability down pat, but the vanilla of DFH trumps the bourbon of the DM. More..
