A high ABV selection from the cellar this week. This glass and this bottle would be a whole lot cooler with a mountie. Still a sexy beer. And so much nostalgia.

French Toast Bastard (Barrel Aged Series 2022) Hewitt
They kinda nailed it. It does taste like drinking french toast. The way I like it though- with the maple syrup spiked with bourbon.

BiL, baby. Prefer the English barleywine style, but I have a lot of love and nostalgia for this beer. And I’m alright with the American take too, when the time is right (like it was last night).

Overripe peach, mint, floral dill, earth, mushroom, funk. Madness. I’m not even a big mint fan, but that fresh herbal touch is doing it for me here.

Kinda reminds me of some coffee I had many years ago. Diner-ish, and the vanilla wasn’t quite real, but it was what we had at the time. Good times.

Another one I had no business keeping for so long. It held up pretty well considering, really oxidized, but some of that port or sherry type of oxidation. I don’t hate it. Man I’m a hoarder.
