The dry hopping is apparent. Wish it wasn’t. Fortunately, it Gets a LOT better as it warms. Rich toffee when warmer, caramel bomb, with much less pronounced hop backbone. Rating is based on the last couple sips, not the first couple.

Such a good balance of barrel age, and hop sweetness. Gonna have to find some more for later drinking

Bought a 4 pack of this beast back in April! My second one!

Not as boozy as it should be. Raisin sweetness with malt round mouthfeel

While the traditional 120 minute is good and one of the better IPAs I’ve had, this takes it to another level. The barrel aging works so much better than I expected with this profile and results in a rich and flavor-packed experience.

Mostly just curious about this one. Boozy on the nose. Boozy raisins and plums on the palate, malty, sweet (obviously), strong (even more obviously). I probably won't drink this again. It's very over the top.

Wow - amazing beer! Subtle citrusy hops, caramel, candy, plums, barrel.

Could not have said it better than Sascha W. But would like to add, barrel presence is huge on the nose. Malty, classic huge wee heavy like nose with subtle hops. Taste follows. More syruppy. Boozy. Smooth sipper

Lots of heat on this! (As expected). A few years from now, this has to be phenomenal.

Big and boozy. Better than I expected honestly. Almost like having a cocktail. Deep rich flavor. Lots of alcohol on the nose.

Very sweet and Carmel flavor. I was very impressed and excited about this beer.

Smooth, rich, sweet, burnt caramel, honey, raisin, vinous, hints of citrus and pine, boozy, throat warming, bourbon, oak barrel, with light bitterness

C’est smooth, raisin, cassonade. Petite chaleur en bouche. Le hops ressort un peu piney et citrique par moment. Je n’ai malheureusement pas la référence d’Utopias n y ayant jamais goûté mais c est la twist qui manquait. Don’t sleep on that. 4,5+

Sweet, bourbon and hides the 17% really amazingly. Goosebumps on the arm and I dig it.

Wasn't sure if this would work or not, but it's very delicious. Drinks a little like a barleywine. Very smooth and not nearly as boozy as you might expect.

Stoned brandy and Cognac with golden raisins, toffee and raw coffee beans with whiskey barrel. Holy sheet! Hoping they have more for sale tomorrow to get to friends.

Sweeter, more caramel than a usual 120.

Tonight is a night for celebrating and that requires a special beer.

Decadence in a glass, with a hop burn at the end.

SO much going on here - I was expecting tons of bitter hops, there are none to be found tons of barrel aged, caramel, French toast and Maple super good you can't tell me this is an IPA where's the bitterness?

Had to happen sooner or later. I mean, at this point it tastes like a barleywine. The only way you can tell the heritage is the balance. This is not a bad thing.
