Smoother than I expected. Solid, but not amazing for me. Can't wait to age this for a bit.

Not bad for a barrel age and for the abv. Not as malty as most and not over powering with bourbon or oak flavor.

Not very impressive right out of the fridge but became better as it warmed. Dark fruits, sweetness, and barrel characteristics.

BIG. BOLD. BOOZY. COMPLEX. UNIQUE. Once in a lifetime brew, just exceptional and eccentric. Dogfish Head just keep proving that they are the king at brewing aberrant beer.

Pours a mahogany brown with a thin brown ring. Boozy sweet aroma. Medium thick oily body. Smooth creamy texture. Boozy but not harsh. Tastes of roasted malts, dark chocolate and hints of dried fruit. Big warming sensation with a tangy oaky finish. Solid

Brandy meets molasses and tart cherry. Huge carob aftertaste.

This stout is boozy in the flavor. It is dark roasted malts, chocolate, dark fruit, raisins, vanilla and lots of bourbon and rum too. It is a complex boozy flavor that should be sipped slowly. Still great!

Tonka, muscat, chocolate smell. Sour upon impact, heavy, heavy, heavy body, and floral notes with plenty nuts, cocoa, and coffee. Spicy finish. Lovely.

There is a lot going on with this. Almost as good as the goose island burbon stout.

veinilik, viskilik, kuivatatud marjad, väga alkosoe, borderline alkone. ilmselt kõige lähem asi, mida ma utopiasele saan maitsta.

Rikkalik, alkoholine, tugevalt röstine, rosinad, burboon, tume šokolaad, karamell, toorkakao, hea kraam, aga raskesti tarbitav.

It's still a little cold, but all I'm getting is bourbon. Even as it warms, still just bourbon. Once it gets up to "almost too warm", I start trasting vanilla. It goes through to "too warm" quickly. I think it needs precise temp controls.

Nice smooth barrel. Much prefer this to the bourbon. Creamy with some spice. Not an overthick mouthfeel, but very noticably boozy base. Chocolate bars, spice.

Aroma at first is molasses. Chocolate and raisin are the flavors I get. Definitely potent, being 17.3%. Out of respect, I'll rate this a tad higher than I personally feel.

Lots of flavors in this one. Vanilla, bittersweet chocolate, toffee, and lots of barrel. Even hints of red wine. Way thinner than I was expecting. Boozy too. Cough syrup taste finish.
