I get dark chocolate, raisins, prune, tobacco, light vanilla, with a coffee like bitterness on the tail end. Some boozy heat evident as well as it warms.

FLN, doesn't feel like 17% at all.. smooth, mild sweetness up front moves to nice toasted caramel bitterness that never offends the palette.. a real nice beer.. 4.35

Honestly I was expecting a thicker stout, but that aside I really enjoyed it. Set 1 aside to age a year or 2.

Didn't realize the ABV of this before I opened it, but once I took a sip... 💀

So today is World Bartender Day, even though I already earned the badge yesterday. Cheers to my favorite beer slingers! Thank you for your service.

I thought this was good! Drinks well below 17%, nice and fudgey boozy

Really packs a punch at 17%. It’s hot but I like the heat. Very tasty but really really thin.

Dark, thick, burns, and very much barrel-aged. Wow is it barrel-aged. Did I mention it burns. Burns my nose and my throat.

It was very good but I question the Alcohol percentage. 17.3% and didn’t even get a buzz?

Caramel, nougat, burnt toast, rum, golden raisins, syrupy. Delish.

It would be ranked higher if it weren't so overpriced. Really excellent beer, extremely complex, clearly barrel aged, but the traditional whiskey notes in a BA stout. More pure wood notes, and strong ale flavors from the Utopias.
