The only time I’ve had Utopias was at GABF in 2019. I figured since I’ll be back at GABF this week for the first time since then, I’d start my week with this. Very good!

Tastes absolutely fantastic on a crisp 40 degree night by the fire paired with some roasted marshmallows!

Aged since purchase in November 2021. Fantastic now as it was before, but much more mellow. Positively delightful.

Cibole. C'est delicieux ça! Le plus proche que je me suis rendu à une Utopias. For now... Praise 🌲

This is a pretty distinctive beer. The big, burley WW stout is a great palette for barrel aging. Using the Utopias barrels adds such a unique and recognizable flavor (if you have tried Utopias). Kind of a lightly boozy whisky type flavor that works w base

Tasty! Brandy & dried apricots lead, quickly joined by caramel, milk choc, deeply vinous cab, golden raisins, port, pinch of toasted brown sugar, pomegranate, & sherry mid-taste, w/ cherry- & molasses-loaded bourbon & rum-soaked fruitcake @close. 4.35.

Just about 2 years since originally trying. Either it got sweeter as it aged, or all the yuengling has fucked up my palate. Either way, it’s strong af and there’s a reason 12 bottles have lasted this long.

Another year of age on this one and as expected it is still amazing

Dark and punchy. Barrel notes in spades and balanced alcohol for days. Definitely a dipper.

Chocolate and oak on the nose. Slightly sharp mouthfeel, fullish mouthfeel. Oak, boozy and a hint of chocolate throughout the palate and finish.
