Mellowed very nicely, boozy nose, strong chocolate notes leads to flavorful utopias finish, aged 2 years and better for it! Super smooth now!

Fantastic Hugh BBA stout aged in Sam Adams Utopia barrels, rich, roasty, sweet and strong. Very highly recommended 👍👌👏🏻😋

This has aged beautifully. Boozy but not a nearly 18% boozy. This has smoothed and has wonderful deep, rich chocolate notes with that complex barrel character.

Chocolate and oak on the nose. Slightly sharp mouthfeel, fullish mouthfeel. Oak, boozy and a hint of chocolate throughout the palate and finish.

Dark and punchy. Barrel notes in spades and balanced alcohol for days. Definitely a dipper.

Just about 2 years since originally trying. Either it got sweeter as it aged, or all the yuengling has fucked up my palate. Either way, it’s strong af and there’s a reason 12 bottles have lasted this long.

Tasty! Brandy & dried apricots lead, quickly joined by caramel, milk choc, deeply vinous cab, golden raisins, port, pinch of toasted brown sugar, pomegranate, & sherry mid-taste, w/ cherry- & molasses-loaded bourbon & rum-soaked fruitcake @close. 4.35.

This is a pretty distinctive beer. The big, burley WW stout is a great palette for barrel aging. Using the Utopias barrels adds such a unique and recognizable flavor (if you have tried Utopias). Kind of a lightly boozy whisky type flavor that works w base
