BWines are meant to aged. They age so well, lose that sweetness. This one aged well.

Last beer to share with Grey and Lew before they go back to college so I figured we'd go Olde School. They definitely approved and with 6 years in bottle, it's not hard to see why. Not nearly as harsh as she was in her younger days.

Hard to read on the bottle, sweet raisins and dates but big alcohol.

Stone fruit sweetness. Has mellowed considerably. Should have drank it sooner.

As I’m clearing out my shelf...here’s another one that aged well from 2017.

Boozy, dark fruit, carmel, way bitter for something in the cellar for this long.

Bottled 01/18/17. Anticipating a very different inauguration at that time. #bil2021 #proper

A sipper but coming on the backend of an EBF six pack.... ugh. Unlike day 1... this is more in line with the barleywine style. Oh you drank 5 beers in 2 hours... here’s 15% to put you to sleep.

Boozy sweet aroma, I get the fig taste and a boozy, bit of bitter finish.

Just a smidge past it’s prime, drink it if you have it! 4-5 years of age max on this guy I’d say

Goodness, those years did not mellow this very much. It almost tastes like a fresh 120min. So damn boozy, pecans and sweet malt, but damn this is such a big bitch.

Cola and caramel, dry and thinner mouthfeel. No sign of cardboard or oxidation.
