Mystery Pils

Pilsner - Other

At Dogfish Head, we live and breathe the exploration and discovery of goodness. We seek unique flavor experiences and leave no stone unturned while questing for unusual ingredients. We also love pilsner. Mystery Pils is a journey to find what is possible with basic beer ingredients to learn what is possible with American Pilsner. We are excited to have you join us as we unlock the mysteries of water, malt, hops and yeast when combined in new and unusual ways to find newness in a time tested classic. Our first iteration features Grüngeist hops, a new German hop variety that offers a balanced blend of citrus, berry, lemon zest and passionfruit notes. The unique hop profile is supported by the subtle bready sweetness of a blend of pilsner malt and malted corn.

I'll let you in on a secret. Pekko, nectaron and azacca. That's what's on the bottom of the can. It's got a slight fruity element. Solid.

Definitely one of the most unique pilsners I've ever had, but not in a bad way. A bit more citrus heavy than other pilsners, but still crisp, clean, and very refreshing on a nice day like today. 🍺
