Roasty bourbon nose, balanced roasty bourbon flavor with a slight sweet, rich

Strong stone fruit and dark fruit flavors. A little acidic with slight vinegar smell. Like a rich port wine. A would have thought it aged in port barrels.

Bottled 09 May 2019. Thick taste. A dark strong roasty malt flavor. Smokey. Notes of a licorice taste. Although the strong roasted malt flavor masks the alcohol taste, it feels strong and boozy. It’s still good though.

Bottled 20190509. Must've mellowed in the bottle vs fresh on tap. Much smoother with rounded edges.

Coffee has fallen off a cliff, but 3 years out, still a great beer. Strangely thin-bodied for a 16% beer but still good stuff

At 3 years old, the chocolate really starts to come out. Another year or two would have allowed for slightly more mellowing, but quite tasty!

Have to start the tourney (best sporting event) off strong…faded a little but still solid

It tastes barrel aged even though it isn’t. Rich in dark chocolate notes and a bitter finish.

Another "Old Stock" I pulled out for a taste test... Aged fantastic!

Dark, licorice vibe. Would pair well with a cigar.

Very rich and flavorful. 16% and not even barrel aged.

Strong stone fruit and dark fruit flavors. A little acidic with slight vinegar smell.. Like a rich port wine. A would have thought it aged in port barrels. Much different from the 2016, which is better and more chocolate.

Four years plus later and it has indeed improved! A great sipper for a cold night. Dark and brooding.

Rich dark chocolate and raisin flavors. Still boozy after 5+ years.
