I only have 50% taste from a sinus infection so I think it tastes good?

disappointing. 5 year old bottle, still very boozy. tartness a tad artificial, beer itself was thin. chocolate had faded

10/20/15 bottling. Hearing I should have drank it 2 yrs ago, no carbonation says so. Malt, sweet w/chewy mouthfeel. Imho this is like an aged Immortale w/maraschino cherry in the finish. 17%ABV is hidden.

Still has an ethanol burn but overall pretty tasty and interesting. A heavy Belgium quad kriek?

Pulled from the cellar. I actually shuddered after the first sip. Getting better as it warms but, man, strange brew.

From 2015. Supposed to taste like a chocolate cherry birthday cake to kick off my birthday weekend.

Deep copper color with a very malty / alcoholic nose. Super sweet with a bitterness that cuts right through as one would hope for. At 17% this beer is obviously best sipped.

Not a ton of chocolate at this point. The cherry is nice, but this is so sweet it borders on drinking syrup unfortunately.

Can’t count that high just tastes like cake

Very strong and the chocolate and cherries really come through. Would be a great dessert beer.

Aged this beer 6 years to drink with Andy. It’s better than the first time.

Has fallen off a bit, the complexity is mostly gone. Not bad, but I think it’s at the end of its life cycle

Bottled 10/2015- 17% ABV no longer comes through in burn but the booze taste is there. Cherry upfront but after that it is classic Strong Golden Belgium, age was good to this one, good but not great, little carbonation left and sticky in the mouth

Cherry, date, raisin, caramel, slightly sour, moderate boozy and medium body

So beer’s been in the bottle since 2015(?)…had it last in 2016. Much mellower tasting, still boozey…getting sleepy….zzzzz

Aged 8 years, super sweet, lots of raisin, smooth and not too hoozy. Cheers Mikey and Christian! Happy birthdays! 🍻

Chuck C. is always bringing vintage. Aged Barleywine 8 years is a STRETCH. She just held on. Tasted way better than it smelt ..

Drank last night. Much better than when it was fresh, but still not that great IMO. Almost drinks like a brandy now.

Better than the reviews led me to believe, but palatable

Chocolate syrup in a bottle. Reminds me of the second batch of "Future You Hates You" from Adroit Theory

2015- enjoyed at 5 years old - pours murky reddish brown, little carbonation, boozy chocolate covered cherry. Raisins. Chocolate overpowers the cherry too much. Little too sweet. Thick and syrupy. Glad to have tried it. They hit what they were aiming for.
