Kernza Pils

Pilsner - German

With a restless desire to create what hasn't yet been imagined, we've teamed up with our friends at Patagonia Provisions to craft an innovative pilsner that aims to restore our planet with every sip. A crisp, refreshing German-style pilsner, Kernza® Pils is brewed with organic barley, organic Contessa hops, and Kernza® - a revolutionary new long-rooted perennial grain developed by The Land Institute. Bursting with floral notes, Kernza® Pils is bright and snappy, with a subtle spiciness thanks to the Kernza® addition. Every sip you take helps us plant more Kernza®, fight the climate crisis and brew more delicious beer ... we'll cheers to that!

Its nice, crushable, picture perfect pilsner. Strangely, suggest a sweet potato earthiness while still meadow-y.

very yummy pils. as someone who’s baked with kernza and has a lot of experience with it, you can taste it!! it’s that sort of sweet maple-syrupy note in there. really cool and awesome to see in a refreshing beer like this one :)

Friday: I liked this less after stronger beers- definitely more fun on a fresh palate. Still, refreshing and bright

In Virginia and wanted to stop by before this place closes. I’ve never been in any of the ale houses, and have been wanting to try Alehouse 75, but they didn’t have it.

Really enjoyed this. Crisp and refreshing. Sweet. Light. Not too heavy of a Pilsner malt flavor.
