Figgy notes on the nose, followed by notes of fig, caramel, and malt with each sip. Definitely can feel the booze of 15% ABV. #EBF and 2017 vintage.

Funny to read my review of drinking this beer fresh in 2017 versus my opinion of drinking it now at 4 years old. It's not gross anymore. Now it's figs, prunes and alcohol!

Found this sitting in my wine rack covered in dust. Probably 4-5 yrs old. Label says it ages well, and it wasn’t wrong. Very complex flavors; almost like port wine

Super surprised at a 15% aged 7 plus years.. so smooth and delicious. Love DF overall, fantastic, thanks Matt F. Recommend to find this and hide away!

Cellared 2007 vintage. Dried fruit, very sweet, strong alcohol warmth that lasts. Slight earthy bitterness that lingers. Some toffee.

Sweet figs on the nose. Taste is slight sweet, filled with fig and dates, and malty. Strong but very smooth. Excellent barleywine.

The annual tasting from the birthday 4-pack: Not too boozy, but there's still a little harshness. I think a little bit more caramel coming through compared to the last tasting.
