Personally, I prefer a tarter and richer Kriek Lambic. I found it a little watered down/weak compared to something like Hanssens Schaarbeekse Kriek, which is one of my favorites. However, for the price £1.80/250 ml (Tesco), you could do a lot worse!

Dessert for my Belgium beer set menu. A sweet flavoured beer which again isn't my usual drink so seems unfair to rate

Sour unadulterated cherry juice! This fruit lambic is 25% fruit juice from locally sourced cherries. Hits the middle with the fruit and that sour lambic tang in the sides of your cheeks. Truly an exceptional beer!

Nice oaky Cabernet Sauvignon aroma. Lovely sweet cherry flavors up front. There is a slight background sourness. Aftertaste is tart cherry. Nice sweetness overall with a healthy sourness to it.

Taken for contrast. Bright pink/cherry red. Maraschino and cherry on the nose huge aromatics: a pretty fabulous smell. Bright bright cherry and this beer just serves the fruit so well. A steadfast and true fresh Kriek.
