Much more mellow than expected, and moreso than I recall. Juicy and jammy cherries, gentle citrus, almost entirely mellowed funk, and touches of hay and almond cherry pits. Not sweet as such, but also quite low on the tartness and acidity.

Very last bottle of stock. Oude. Local cherry with classic aromas, nice soury edge and sweet fruty tones. C’mon summer hurry up!

Schaarbeekse 2018 comparison - lighter colour, more sediment on the bottle, much more head, lighter aroma. More sweet & smoother. For the rest I come along with HvK, Federico Bruno P. & Stefano C. (expected Fragolino reference)

Deep burgundy and barely translucent with medium, muted pink head. Every type of cherry presented in the nose: candied, dried, fresh, underripe, and juiced, all with an underlying wild yeast character. Drying and lactic, with smooth, juicy acidity.

Donkerrood bijna paars gekleurd troebel bier met een kleine lichtroze schuimkraag. Licht aroma van kersen en hout met een zurige toon. Friszure smaak. Kersen, houttonen, licht aards en tintelend. Droge, zurige en aardse afdronk met de smaak van kersen.

Side by side with 2019. This 2018 bottle was not as carbonated and had a darker red color. Pleasant strong cherry taste. In comparison a more "together" palate without anything spiking out.
