We’ll happy 4th of July, in wet cold London, drinking an aged Belgian geuze off the shelf of Whole Foods for 6£. Odd pairing but it’s all working! Stinky funk on the nose, malty, full bodied, some alcohol warmth, good bitey CO2, & a bit acidic finish

Voor een 6 jaar oude geuze verrassend scherp nog, behoorlijk wat aciditeit. Daarna volgt best een complexe en droge afdronk die lekker kruidig is en iets wrang van de houten vaten.

Wooow, she’s mellowed in the last two years; beautifully round juicy petal & spicy scented wood. Bone dry — with a dipped honey leather aprés-tone. Solstice/Glasto beer.

Kyllä kuiva göös hellepäivänä maistuu. Kaikki palikat ilosesti paikoillaan, ei ehkä aivan paras juomani perusgöös, ei voi kyllä mitenkään valittaakaan, mut voi olla ihan subjektiivistakin. Objektivisuus on vaikea kapitteli kun on subjekti itekkin.

A lot of the carbonation is gone. A lot more hay in the notes, with an almost metallic after taste. Might be past it’s prime.
