Deze Editie N°5 werd gebotteld op 14 november 2019 en heeft zo minstens één jaar kunnen rijpen in onze kelders. Oude Geuze Boon Black Label Edition N°5 brengt ons terug de typische lange, droge afdronk, maar toch zeer volmondige smaak die we van een Boon Black Label gewoon zijn. Met een zeer frisse pompelmoestoets en lichte sprankeling kan je de Boon Black Label N°5 beschrijven als een zeer elegante, vlotte en malse Oude Geuze. In het complexe geheel kan je nog een lichte, wijnachtige eikenhouttoets merken bovenop de zacht-zurige ondertoon die de smaken gebalanceerd bij elkaar brengt.

Amandel, appel, grapefruit, droog, houtinvloed en enkele subtiele tonen die lastiger te definiëren zijn. Champagne-achtig en mede door de 7% ook relatief wat dun qua smaakgevoel. Het is verfijnd, prettig en blijft boeiend. € 8,95 voor 0.75L is het waard.
