when cantillon is available at a restaurant… you buy it. nuff said. sour.

even though its not in the bottle: hints of cinnamon, apple pie. Probably the best tonight.

I thought getting stung by a stingray is an appropriate occasion to pop this bad boi open. Lovely as always, shared the bottle with isabel overlooking the bay after an eventful afternoon.

My favorite sour beer on the planet. 6/5. I’ve enjoyed it more with time.

Life is short. Why only open one bottle when you have two?

Bruocsella 1900 Grand Cru Dannylow
either i had a bad batch last time or this truly is better with age or it just hit different: really nice soft drinkable lambic.

from yesterday. Just because. With a homemade meal. Made me feel like I was in Europe. Incredible beer.

Much more sour than I remember, but seemed to level off after a while of enjoying. Complex for sure. Couldn’t imagine a better Valentine’s Day Beer.

I would rate this a 6 if I could. I’ve had Fou’ Foune before on draft, and so picking this out of the lineup was a no brainer. A beer that truly ages masterfully and gracefully. The subtle hints of apricot and vanilla could make a grown man cry.

Lou Pepe Gueuze (2010) Dannylow
The pinnacle of guezes. It’s hard to believe I woke up at 8:30 AM for this, at the same time, it’s not hard to believe at all. Would you believe me if I told I wasn’t the only one wearing a cantillon shirt here?

Bruocsella 1900 Grand Cru Dannylow
White flavor. Harsh on the tongue. If you like white wine and a less blubbly beer, this is probably for you. But not for me. This includes vibe inflation.

Elite beer for elite day. Better than I remember. But probably it’s the company and experience.

90 Minute Imperial IPA Dannylow
finally trying this bad boy. sorta what i expected in the sense its bitter and dark and imperial. very good, but not my style, but i know it deserves respect, thx Andrew B.

Single Barrel 2 Year Lambic Dannylow
Excellent - straight out of the barrel. Came with the tour. Probably as “lambic” as it gets. Reminds me of a sour dessert wine sorta

Wild Friendship (2022) Dannylow
Fitting that a guy would share a beer called Wild Friendship with me after I shared some of the Parasol. That’s the magic of beer. This one is funky.

Zwanze 2021 - Parasol Dannylow
Another elite beer on an elite day. Cool having some vintage. The most orange smelling beer I’ve ever had. Verrrrryyyyy citrusy. 🍊🍑

My 2nd Magic Lambic in my life. Hints of blueberry and vanilla again. Again, more tart than I remember. Served out of a vase, so that was nuts.

Classic Gueuze (2022) Dannylow
Classic gueze, nuff said. But hits different at the source.

Made it to mecca. Glass came with the tour. Powerful nose. Smells like a basket of raspberries. I find it very tart and sour tho, much more sour than I remember.

“I’m not into beer and I know this is a once in a lifetime opportunity” - chan. With words like that, you gotta go for the next bottle. Went with a 2022 iris as i’ve had the 2004 version before and wanted to compare. super funky. but not saison funky

Canti Fonte Pasta E Basta Dannylow
Impeccable. Not as sour as the Grenache Nior. Has a strong nose, but tastes like a kriek with 0% abv, except this is like 5+%. fruity.
Bartender recommended it and claimed it was the last bottle so “it’s a must.” Red wine + sour cherry + beer had a baby, and it’s delicious.

white wine ish? i liked it but i like fruity cantillon more

Years from now if we ever have kids and they ask “dad, what was the best beer you’ve ever had?” I’ll reply: “son it was two bottles of Cantillon we had the night I proposed to your mother. Your grandfather admired the bottles and “wow, this is fantastic’”

Spontandoubleblueberry Dannylow
literally doesnt taste like 🫐 at all. Very tart and nice lambic tho

“The best one” - Isabel. I thought it was great too, more tart and sour than I expected. Floral for sure. Great event. S/o to Gourmet Haus

Kriek 100% Lambic Bio Dannylow
Awesome. I love Krieks. Cherry. Refreshing. Slightly tart, but tastes like juice.

Cantillon flag is next level my man. S/o to him. Very sour - not my favorite of there’s, and the global rating affirms that, but still excellent and great to have it in a bottle.

Great to try - very sour. Special, but not life-changing. (That’s a high bar tho huh?)

Unreal. So refreshing. One of the best beers I’ve had in my life. Hints of floral notes and somewhat tart but still crushable. Excellent.

SpontanCherry Frederiksdal Dannylow
Complex. Fruity. How a sour beer should be. Bottlecraft is nothing compared to Mikeller

Oude Geuze White Vermouth Foeders Dannylow
Bottle says it pairs well with “white fish”, but I drank it with a $3 breakfast burrito from Trader Joe’s.

Isabel’s pick. First time I’ve ever seen a carrot beer. I can see why — because it tasted nothing like carrot. Earthy tho 🥕
