Great evening with friends. 4 y.o. bottle. Incredibly well-integrated funk and complex flavors. Sweet and tart cherry, marzipan, dried tobacco, mild acidity, orange peel, anise.

2 y.o. bottle. Bourbon, milk chocolate, vanilla, dark roast coffee, tootsie roll, earthy, caramel, mild-moderate alcohol presence, moderately sweet.

Curmudgeon Old Ale Baker

5 y.o. bottle. Toffee, sweet cherry, vanilla, moderate alcohol presence, caramel, mild banana, moderately sweet, full-medium body.

KBS Espresso Baker

1 3/4 y.o. bottle. Dark chocolate is the dominant flavor at this point, followed by vanilla, caramel, toffee, and espresso. Mild raisin, moderate alcohol presence - in a welcoming way, medium-full body, bittersweet. Bourbon has subsided.

KBS Baker

5+ y.o. bottle. Bourbon, molasses, chocolate syrup, black cherry, milk chocolate, moderate alcohol burn, brown sugar, vanilla, charred marshmallow, toffee. Has certainly become a different beer with 5 years on it, still delicious in its own regard.

Canadian Breakfast Stout (CBS) Baker

Last of my 2017 stash. 4 years-old and still fantastic. Maple syrup and chocolate pop, with a fair amount of medium roast coffee in the background. Sweet, mild-moderate bourbon, full-bodied, zero alcohol presence.
