Fou' Foune (2018)

Lots of apricot on the nose, dry on the palate with balanced sour funk.

Pineapple O

Sour, pineapple flavouring, a bit of cough syrup and the smell of plastic exercise book covers. Gets better as it warms but the plastic note doesn't fully go away.

Loco With the Cake

Dayglo orange with no head retention. Honey with carrot. Sweet then earthy then sweet single-digit ABV mead notes, then a carrot linger.

Drogone Lambic (2021)

Red grapes, oakey tannins melded into the tartness.

Sophia Lambic (2020)

A funky sort of grape that's more pronounced in the wine but makes a beautiful lambic. Bit of flint and stone fruit.

World Wide Stout (2019)

Strong quad-like nose, boozy with a touch of roast. 8/2/20

Drogone Lambic (2022)

Fizzy tart and dry red wine tannins from the galboss's stash. Thanks Jasmin W.

Frootwood (2021)

Cherry and mild bourbon barrel notes, mildly sour with a hint of syrup that cuts a fraction of a point.

Spontantriplecherry

So much cherry, and still tart

Nath (2018)

Sour, tart, muted but well-rounded. Had a huge head that sank quickly

Nath (2021)

Funky earthiness (hot springs) on the nose but much more rhubarb with a touch of vegetality.

Limbo - Riesling

An interesting NA beer. A bit dank on the nose. Moderately sweet and fizzy like LCM mead, followed by the tang of apple and grape.

Spontanyuzu

This has calmed down quite a bit, didn't pick up the yuzu, perhaps due to age (2016)

KBS Hazelnut (2022)

Roasty coffee under hazelnut aroma, but while it was strong, it lacked a bit of oomph and sweetness for this strength.

Beer Geek Breakfast

Espresso through and through, roasty, rich and smooth even if it's not my kind of coffee profile

Spontankonatsu

For a citrusy drink it's not bitter. Definitely sour

Sweet at first followed by roast and bitterness, always reminding you of its strength

Canadian Breakfast Stout (CBS) (2019)

Black Bear

Bold chocolate roast in the aroma and initial notes, finishes with coffee. Strong but smooth. Solid

Beer Geek Fudgesicle

Thick, rich, low carbonation, butterscotch and toffee notes over chocolate fudge

90 Minute Imperial IPA

On the sweeter, maltier side but that's great with pizza. LCI

Spontan Goes Spontan

Green Gold

Hard to go wrong with this. Slightly hazy, piney and floral aroma, bittersweet malt that's a bit caramel-ish

Ich Bin Raspberry

Moderate sourness, pretty tart and lasting (though easy) at that but the raspberry feels natural.

Blow Out

Stone fruits, light, mild sweetness and a moderate citrus bitterness that is gentle

Russia Stout

Roasty, soy sauce-ish aroma, taste is more of roasty cocoa. Smooth, packs decent flavour for a lighter stout.

Beer Geek Flat White Kieni Coffee

Tastes more like a cold brew than a flat white but not a bad thing. Acidity didn't hit as much for this sour head, it was quite smooth, chocolaty, some body, mellow roast.

George Bourbon BA

Bourbon is very in-your-face initially, but there's enough to distract from the booze and chocolaty roast too, having retained enough vanilla and vanillin to sweeten and round it.

Stedsegrøn / Evergreen

Despite being past it, it still retains a good flavour. Citrus aroma, starts moderately fruity bitter but finishes with stone fruits in the end and the linger

KBS

LCI: Whisky notes have faded somewhat to leave it more roasty and less sweet, decently rich still though

Hoppy citrus and a bit dank, body is light to medium, not cloying

Zythos

It's the first Mikkeller run of the year… crisp, refreshing and fruity

Decently hoppy, soft, thin but juicy sweetness of mandarins, brief finish. A bit warning going down but otherwise quaffable despite the ABV. Got it free so not complaining at all.

60 Minute IPA

Closer to BBD of Jul 2021. Arrived at aircon temps. Healthy head lasts, piney perfume, grapefruit and prominent but gentle bittersweetness in the malt which lasts. Smooth and easy drinking. The Spiegelau IPA glass works well for this beer.

Good light effervescent post-run drink

Canadian Breakfast Stout (CBS) (2019)

Refrigerated for 90 minutes. Bottled 09/17/19. Green-ish coffee but not too much, more of the same in taste with a sweet fudge-like linger. Smooth, warming late on. Maple is almost entirely absent.

Do Stuff Together

Post-run reward. Still tasty fruity without being anywhere near overwhelming.

Japanese Rice Lager

Easy to drink, light and dry bitterness towards the end. Light body.

Coffee-ish too but milder than Kaffestout, more chocolate, 65% cocoa. Pictured: First person to complete the full pub crawl.

Heated Seats

Light pale that feels equal parts fruity and hoppy

MBCC'20 Berliner-style Weisse With Fruits of the Sun

Citrusy light sour, pretty cleansing, paired with sweet and sour pork

Vesterbro Wit

Fruity witbier notes, allspice, finishes a touch bitter. Paired with fried cauliflower from Rice Bowl Boys. Seems similar to the standard witbier at Mikkeller bars worldwide.

Kaffestout

Ooh this is fun. Rich smooth coffee, similar to sock filter coffee but much less acrid. The roastiness is cut out by sweetness of satay and claypot rice.

Oude Geuze Goût Américain

Funky on the nose, sour but not terribly so, touch of cracker in the finish

Oude Geuze White Vermouth Foeders

Sour and funky but it rounds out with warmth. A bit astringent.
