Can a beer be to sweet. This might be the closest to syrup a beer has been. Really sweet and really strong.

Five years in and the cherry flavor stays but the beer starts to get a little stale.

A 12 oz is almost to much. A very vanilla bourbon syrup flavor profile.

Shower beer! Would it be weird if my location wasn’t home?

Thick and rich after a long time aging. It’s a sweet strong stout that makes you appreciate what a stout can be.

Canadian Breakfast Stout (CBS) (2019) Mallia
Keeping it in the cellar doesn’t make it better, but it makes it more balanced. Still excellent, still smooth.

So good. Hops that aren’t afraid to announce themselves. Consistently pleasurable with enough ABV to be interesting but not annoying.

Liquid bitter wood. But only it tastes good. This is way less sweet than most barley wines and that’s ok.

Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout (2020) Mallia
Did someone melt a fudgesicle and add some coffee, because that would be close.

Bourbon Barrel Oak Aged Vanilla World Wide Stout Mallia
So strong so sweet. A four ounce poor is really enough.

Backwoods Bastard (2016) Mallia
It’s crossed a line after this long in the cellar. It’s flavor is very mellow but it has the dryness of an aged beer that doesn’t work as well with the sweetness.

Very sour but in the right way. Fruit and hops in appropriate balance.

Crisp and sweet. The cherry comes through at the back end. The hop and malt profile is still present to keep things balanced.
