Grand Cru Bruocsella Lambic Bio (2015-2016) H
Pretty mellow. Low carb. But really nice aged hops flavor and apple medley. Medium funk. Fairly low acidity. Quite enjoyable.

Maybe my favorite framboise. Still has excellent fresh raspberry fruit, mildly tart/acidic, light minerality.

Geuze Mariage Parfait (2014) H
10 years old. Very low carb. Good color. Lots of deep cellar funk keeps things interesting. Dry and mineral like finish. I’d like to try a more recent vintage but this is very good for its age.

Another year and the flavors have evolved again. Nose is sweet funk of orange blossom, hay, horse blanket, must, some clay. Body is thicker and more dense flavors now, compared to the past two tastings. Dry and mineral. Sour green apple. Little pear. ⬇️

Kriek Mariage Parfait (2015) H
9 years old. May be a bit oxidized, but has a very natural tart cherry flavor followed by a punch of spicy funk. I’ve enjoyed other krieks more, yet this is interesting and enjoyable.

Gueuze 100% Lambic Bio (2021) H
January 12, 2021 bottle. Three years old and drinking great. Lots of green apple and a mélange of sophisticated dry mineral funk. Really enjoying this.

Maybe the rating would be higher if I had been drinking this all day? Only had one with dinner. It’s okay. EZ drinker.

HORAL's Oude Geuze Mega Blend (2021) H
What a treat. Tons of funk on the nose. Very flavorful and complex, with a dry fleeting finish that develops other flavors the more you drink it. Cool concept and well executed.

Kriek 100% Lambic Bio (2022) H
Over a year old but drinks quite young. Lightly tart cherry delight. A bit of underlying mineral. Slightly dry finish. But fruit forward throughout.

Oude Geuze Boon Black Label Edition N°2 H
Tons of carbonation. Cork strongly ejected from the bottle. Super lively. Fairly mild funk and flavor. Lots of minerality and light acidity. Like an extra brut champagne really.

More of a session geuze. Very drinkable with good character.

One year later, this special blend from Frank is more expressive, with more refined funk character, and not as light. But the finish is surprisingly smooth and graceful. A special beer to toast the new year.

Nose: lots of funk, clay, must, aged cheese; Body: like warm apple cider, immediately gets sharply tart and dry; Finish: sweet crisp red apple with lemon juice, rhubarb most prominent here, progressively drier

Excellent traditional framboise with lots of cellar must and light funk.

Fairly equal grand cru and American red. Some interesting orange peel. Like a roady with a twist.

Kriek 100% Lambic Bio (2020) H
Natural cherry over light funk. Very well balanced. Probably the best kriek I’ve had.

Kriek 100% Lambic Bio (2019) H
Funky musty nose with no fruit. Body is very balanced tart cherry that gets more tart. Cranberry like. Dry mineral cherry finish.

First Cantillon! Nose: funk, stinky cheese, sausage?, honeysuckle, lt hay. Body: waves of alternating sour and sweet citrus/honey. ⬇️

One of the finest beers I’ve had. Light yet complex. So much earthy barnyard funk over citrus with a dry mineral finish. World class.

Big peach notes and a sweet rounded flavor with a current of med hop bitterness.

Past its prime but still enjoyable. Good carbonation. No off flavors. More mellow and integrated. Cherry. No tartness.
