Most assuredly a sweet boozy nose to this with plenty of raisins. The taste is an absolute delight. Still the same boozy body but there is a lot of sugary stuff going on. Wished it sticks around longer but the nearly wine-taste is quite good. DF can do m

KBS Spicy Chocolate (2023) hodge
Smells like spicy chocolate on top of the usual kbs nose. This has a richer mouthfeel than the kbs. Velvety texture from the chocolate though not getting much spice at first. Coffee on the middle. Spice maybe on the back end. Damned good just the same.

Typical ipa-citrus nose. Getting a touch of pineapple. Mild ipa taste that is mostly meh. Easy to pound but not much to excited about.

Bad pour in a bad glass. My fault both. Smells very ipa. Looks ipa except for some darkness, probably from the dot I had in there previously. Has the grapefruit haziness of the I pop a but I get a surprise taste of pineapple. Nice imperial ipa that ranks

Wake Up World Wide Stout hodge
Has a most delightful noise like the world wide stout. The taste is similar is as well but with a bit of coffee to add. Not my usual thing bite still a delightful addition. A food runner up to the wws.

Get quite a bit of mango from the nose and the colour is a wonderful copper orange hue. The habanero and the mango battle this out in my mouth leaving no clear Victor, except for me. A nice balance of complementing materials.

KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge (2022) hodge
I get a metric butt ton of chocolate/fudge in this. There is some coffee to this but it’s backgrounded a little so doesn’t make me go bleh. Sorta like what I imagine if someone at some fudge for breakfast with their coffee and a shot of hootch.

Canadian Breakfast Stout (CBS) (2023) hodge
An interesting level of fruity sweetness that is not what I remembered from last time. Like there are raspberries in this. Still not getting much coffee. But getting the burbon and maple syrup to go with the oatmeal stout base. I like this more than kbs

Interesting notes of an old fashioned drink with the cheer and booziness. The taste is so much more than an old fashioned. All sorts of stuff going on with the beer; some would say it’s comPLEX with a raised eyebrow. Haughty like a rich person. Delicious

Smells a little bit like a margarita and the taste is very much an agave drink. The lime really comes through giving me little bolts of lightning through my cheeks. Crisp and refreshing, every millimeter a fine fine summer beer…in December

Lots and lots of coffee everywhere. Tempered a taste by the burbon and chocolate and presumably the hazelnut. Not altogether unpleasant even though I am not much of a coffee fan.

Very burbony and very mapley. And I think I smell raisins. Huh?! This is weird to say but I think I can differentiate the yam instead of pumpkin. Has plenty of the burbon sweetness and the maple to mellow the hootch out. Get some cinnamon and nutmeg. Fab

Takes a purple but bite can smell the blueberries being the burbon. Holy cow, this has a lot of blubbery…notes? More like sledgehammer. Still get plenty of the booziness and catching a touch of the vanilla on the back end. Has a lot of activity going on

The first thing I am hit with it the tart cherries when I bring the beer up to my face. Kinda like vomit but that is very unfair. The taste is a complex mix of tart, sweet maple, and a touch of vanilla. There is the burbon base to add as well. Delightful

Barrel Aged Peanut Butter Stout (Mothership Series) hodge
Boozy nose with a hint of peanuts underneath and some other sweetness, like molasses. The bourbon drowns out the peanut butter until maybe the last bit of the tail end. Decent beer but hard to distinguish from other barrel beers. Want more peanut butter t

Mothership Series Barrel Aged Blueberry Braggot hodge
Almost smells what I remember what a brandy smells like. But that was 3 centuries ago. Drinks more like a wine than a beer. Has the same sweetness and bite of a moderate red. Spices complement the mild booziness and the flavour sticks around that I apprec

Ginger, Spice, Barreled And Nice hodge
#1000! Woot! This has a ton of ginger to the nose. Nice amber color and I am starting to get blotto. Super packed with ginger. Love love love. Crisp easy drinking and will fight scurvy. And I would b never guess this is a basketball.

This is basically the original green zebra, and just like the original, I find this delightfully refreshing, great smelling, less filling, and the new artwork doesn’t annoy me nearly as much as what founders did with their other beers. Spitze!

I didn’t go running today, or even do anything else especially strenuous but this beer still finds a way to be refreshing. Has the same watermelon style gose of the original but with a touch of peach to complement. Decent.

Mothership Series Barrel-aged Marvelroast hodge
Smelled this and made a mess in my pants. Hit with what I am guessing is a whole lot of honey notes to compliment the golden color. The taste is exactly as advertised. A sweetness to this that belies the high abv. Goes down smooth and easy, like me on my

Barrel Aged Imperial Stout (Mothership Series) hodge
Plenty of burbon nose to this with black as pitch color. The taste is not nearly as strong as the nose would indicate. Plenty of booziness but tempered by the slight coffee and maybe vanilla. A solid submission.

Smells like a slightly sweeter version of a dry stout. The taste however is a lot smoother. Sweetness from the lactose and vanilla and I think there is cinnamon in this, makes for a delightful combination. A pleasant surprise given the noise of this.

Has a little bit of sweetness to this. There is a complex taste to this because I am a little confused on this. There is some booziness to this that isn’t particularly strong. Maple taste that is turned over by the bourbon. Interesting.

Can’t get much of a nose from this but I am also fighting off a cold. The taste has plenty of booziness and dark chocolate and cherry. Really quite the nice balance. A delightful beer for VD!

Barrel Aged Blushing Monk hodge
This sorta takes me back to the days of wine coolers. There is plenty of raspberries to go with the Belgian style, which I barely taste at all. There is a little bit of sour or tartness to complement the sweet. Nicely balanced and easy to suck down

Lots of grapefruit nose and the taste to match. Very mellow almost like a neipa. A little bit of creaminess and doesn’t turn my face inside out. A little bit of sweet going with the hoppiness. Easy going down.

A little bit of a weird combination with the barleywine aged in by m bourbon barrels with a ton of hops like an IPA. As my lady said, there is a giant pile of booze dumped down my throat and now there is a big mess in my mouth. Never been more turned on

QUARTER LIFE CRISIS - FOUNDERS 25TH ANNIVERSARY BEER hodge
Afuckton of booziness to the nose and palette but not enough to be off putting. Instead, weirdly, it’s complementary with the maple and chocolate and vanilla…as I write this, I am finding this is a slightly different variant of the kbs out a less sweet ve

Has an asston of fruit to slap my olfactory senses around. I thought there was a lot of cranberries because of the “sour” in this beer but finding out this has raspberries and was aged in tequila barrels which is what I am picking up. Really good and clea

Snowbound Vanilla Porter hodge
A lot of vanilla and some undercurrents of chocolate to the nose. A solid porter base with some of that chocolate brewed in. The vanilla is more subtle and comes at the back end. I like this a little bit more than the leinenkugel’s snowdrift porter.

KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge hodge
Has some very good chocolate nose to this, or fudge if I were to go by the label. Has the faint rest hint of maple but that could merely be suggestive from the title. The taste isn’t bad but there is a lot of coffee at the fore. Some chocolate on the back

Nothing special but not bad. Sorta like beer tasting beer. One of those things where you drink at the end of the night when your taste buds are kinda shot.

Drinking this from the bottle so not getting a lot of noise to this. The taste however has a fair bit of sweetness from the booziness of scotch but there is more to this than that to give it a little more complexity. Not sure what though label says vanil

Smells very fruity and taste like a wheat that aspires to be something stronger. Like a shandy? Or a really weak lambic? Not my kind of beer but can definitely see why people would like this, especially on a hot summer day. Not much to this.

While not my favouritest oatmeal stout, mostly because of the coffee addition, this is still a good solid submission. There are some chocolate tastes to help temper the coffee which I appreciate. Would certainly clean out a bowl of this like gerber baby

Hazelnut tempers the nose on this so I don’t feel like I am snorting bourbon. The taste has a bit of an unexpected twist of coming across a bit like coffee. Surely that is the effect of a lot of my coworkers putting hazelnut creamer in their coffee. Decen

This has the nose and taste of a margarita. Not quite as good as the prickly pear but not bad. Unfortunately, through no fault of the beer, the grapefruit is giving me a little reflux. Otherwise decent.

A lot of sweetness to this stout that is surprising. Not much coffee and has some burbon taste to it. A delightful surprise and I like it a great deal.

Canadian Breakfast Stout (CBS) hodge
Has quite a bit of sweetness and smoothness to it that I wasn’t expecting. Don’t taste much coffee, all back of the tongue. Has plenty of booziness to this. Overall, what we should have instead of Sanka.

Founders Old Fashioned Barley Wine hodge
Echoes echoes echoes echoes of mas agave. Clean taste with sweetness and what reminds me of tequila but not in a way that makes me want to hurl. Not sure if this is a deviation from a standard barley wine but I find it tasty and a friggin heavy hitter.

A good solid porter that I s just as advertised: dark, rich, sexy. Comes close to wandering into stout territory which really doesn’t mean much of anything nowadays. No coffee, which I appreciate, and has some dark chocolate and sweetness to it. Beautiful

Bottle Shop Series Highball Drifter hodge
There is a sweetness to the nose reminiscent of orange. The taste has some interesting flavours that combine some interesting spices. Vanilla and some nutmeg with some other fruits? Could take a while to separate them all and that is a job I am up for.

KBS Cinnamon Vanilla Cocoa hodge
Great google moogly, this has a lot of flavour and nose. Coconut, vanilla, cinnamon all combine to make a delightful party in my mouth that makes me forget there is burboun in this drink. Wicked expensive but also wicked good.

I seem to recall this having more bourbon taste but this time around the taste is more subtle. Still not a fan of the coffee taste but overall, this beer is better than I originally thought.

A solid scotch ale. Has the sweetness and alcohol content but not the heavy taste. One of those beers one can pound day after day, as my lady does, without feeling like you are going to bottom out on a wide ass.

Yet another ipa that tastes a lot like the other ipas. Not bad, not great, just is. Good for knocking the mung out of your mouth when hot outside. Like today. And it was free in my fridge. Bonus!

Has a good fruity nose of raspberries I think. Or something like that. Another good cleansing beer after a run in fucking hot miserable humid weather. Doesn’t have the sourness, but does have a little bit of a bite to keep interesting. Like a good woman.

Frootwood Mothership Series 15 hodge
Has a fruity nose and a lot of cherry taste, much like Sam Adam’s cherry wheat. Manages to temper the burbon that, for me, ruins a lot of otherwise decent beers.

Fucking dangerous. Especially on a hot day. The mad agave series is all very good so far but this one is almost like drinking some hard juice. Phenomenal and I want more. Good way to fall off the chair.
