Oude Geuze Boon à L'Ancienne VAT 91 Mono Blend (2016) Fardin
Love the VAT series. Incredilble how this foeder produces such an elegant, sophisticated and understated geuze. An absolute pleasure to drink. Mellow, with semi sweet peach and honey flavors. Smooth and subtle.

It does the job. Very grassy, piney, white fruit. Moderate bitterness. No fireworks. Just an ok brew.

This vintage is sweeter than the older ones. Very mellow. Fruit character quite strong. Still a delight to drink.

Oude Geuze Boon Black Label Edition N°2 Fardin
Apologies for the phallic picture. Highly carbonated, crispy, refreshing. Mellow, bone dry, mineral, apple heavy and intense. Great citrus wallop. Lovely depth.

Gueuze 100% Lambic Bio (2020) Fardin
Young and restless. Lively and vibrant. This is pure sharp agression, will probably take a few years to mellow. It pries your tasted buds wide open and leaves no survivors. Mega sharp, woody, barnyardy, green apples. Violent like the sunrise.

Oude Geuze A L'Ancienne VAT 108bis Mono Blend (2018) Fardin
Ah serenity now. Geuze in near perfect balance between tartness & mellowness. Fresh oak, barnyard aromas. Apple and a subtle whiff of melon. A lovely leathery and earthy touch as it warms up. Great depth of flavor mirroring the nose. Fulfilling kindness.

This is a beer twist on Tequila. Oaky and boozy from the barrel ageing. Engrossing lovely creamy texture. Tangy and zesty mix on the aroma and flavors. Syrup sweetness (agave). Tequila rich. Mellow tartness. Interesting but not a volume drinking beer.

Oude Geuze Goût Américain Fardin
Geuze for the "american taste", according to Boon. Meaning stronger acetic acid hit. To each their own. Is it indeed quite a sharp and agressive geuze but not without qualities. Superb carbonation, barnyardy, oaky, tree sap, green apples, citrus and mint.

This is no pils. More like an IPL. Aromatic hoppy nose with floral, citrus nose. Sweet fruity flavors and bold bitterness. Easy and crushable but it ain't no Pilsner man.

Hammer to the head. Black blood pour and creamy carbonation. Roasted, a touch smoky nose, nutty, dark fruits. There's a buttery touch as well. Smooth velvety tannins. Sweet, choc and coffee combo, dates, candied fruit flavors. Muscular bitterness.
