Ginger, Spice, Barreled And Nice Thomas
Sweet ginger root, late rootbeer candy note, more flat than effervescent. Spiced gingerbread cookie on the finish, but nit dominating. I'd like to try it draft style Not driving all the way to New Holland

KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge (2022) Thomas
The fudge is most dominant, maple adds a silky note. No bourbon burn or vanilla though. Tasty can't believe it's 11%

The aroma is heavenly, pure fresh roasted coffee, espresso bitters and bakers chocolate as good as the first time I enjoyed it

Cherry pipe tobacco,, hint of wine, rich..it's balance is it's largest attribute.all the flavors of a great barrel aged beer are presence without any dominating. At 8% it's just strong enough.maple to tangy 🍒 to wood/tabacco earthiness

10 years aged, a gift from an old friend leaving for the sunshine state. What a great beer to enjoy the first day off in 13 (Lucky number I guess) still damn good now deceptively strong.

KBS Cinnamon Vanilla Cocoa (2021) Thomas
Coffee is most dominant with a pleasant mocha addition. Cinnamon ads just enough of a bite, however I think it will fade so I'm against aging this version

Oak-Aged Vanilla World Wide Stout (2017) Thomas
Talk about a back of the cooler find. Well done Charlie, and I probably will be. Let it warm a bit.nose has mellowed, rich smooth great transition. First vanilla then oakiness, some booze on the finish. Strongest alcohol bite is early, leaves a tingle too

Backwoods Bastard (2016) Thomas
A five year old barrel, Giddy up (Cosmo K.) I can't say no. Still has that smoked malt, I'm still getting a boozy bite excess sweetness has fallen off leaving an earthy body.

Just as I expected. Vanilla forward, mocha notes In the body, bourbon warming late.maple soothing evident throughout. If barrel aged stouts are a bit much for you, give this a try. I think they achieved exactly what they went for

Canadian Breakfast Stout (CBS) (2019) Thomas
I've got the pint glass sitting on the coffee mug warmer & 1/2 cup of fiber1 in a bowl. Breakfast of Champions? Maple still there but the coffee is fading. Not as thick as years past not bad w/ cereal

KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge Thomas
Immense chocolate, not tasting much maple, maybe a hint in the finish as it warms. Bourbon warming enhancers the mocha dominance. After the last couple of released, this one rights the ship

KBS 2019 Special Reserve Thomas
Saving this for a special occasion. Can't sleep so gonna watch the sunrise with San Cristobal cigar and an awesome beer in tribute to the Axe Man ,Eruption just may be his best work. Let's open the debate. RIP EVH. Beer has mellowed a bit. Makes it smooth

Nice balance of flavors. Vanilla and cocoa emerge first. Just a little coffee aroma-acidic-bitters late. Instead of being an explosion of flavors, it's milk sugars seem to smooth out any sharpness making it an easy drinking 8%
