New beer style for me. Curious, sweet, caramelly, malty, roasted and tad smoked historical beer. Dates and grass in the taste too. Strong and quite alcoholic but not botheringly so. Pretty good, actually!

Bottle Shop Series Highball Drifter

Draft lambic during metal festival can't go wrong. Super crisp and acidic lambic with dry notes of rhubarb, strawberry, crisp green apple, lemon and oak. Very flavourful and quite low carbonated. Excellent.

Apricot and aromatic dankness on the nose. Soft and juicy mouthfeel with light body. Notes include apricot, citrus and lingering pine. Easy and well balanced. Solid session IPA.

Yes! Excellently tart and funky seabuckthorn lambic with surprisingly juicy and smooth mouthfeel. Citrusy, tart, fruity and effervescent. I'm very glad there was lambic on the tap in a heavy metal festival. Excellent!

Delicious and surprisingly light mouthweel-wise. Maple syrup and coffee on the nose. Notes of coffee, milk chocolate, maple syrup, fudge and roasted malts. Somewhat dry aftertaste. Alcohol is not noticeable at all. Very good.

Delicious and rich sour with thick mouthfeel. Notes of prickly pear, redcurrant and melon. Oaky with faint tequila notes. Slightly salty. Medium sourness. The 9.7 % is hardly noticeable. Very well balanced and thoroughly pleasant.

Cuvée Saint-Gilloise (Champions)
Very traditional geuze with dry mouthfeel and notes of lemon zest, grapefruit and hops. Surprisingly hoppy, even. Very juicy, not super tart. Delicious.

Bucket list lambic right here. Funky and flavourful with notes of ripe cherries, raspberries, blueberries, slight cinnamon, vanilla and lemon. Very tart and surprisingly fruity. Effervescent and dry. Absolutely beautiful beer.

Pleasantly complex imperial version of my least favourite beer style: brown ale. This one is full of coffee, oak and bourbon notes. Thin and almost watery moment after the initial notes, then the alcohol punches you. Some bitterness is there too. Great!

Classic Cantillon from 2021. Highly tasty and solid lambic with effervescent mouthfeel. Notes of lemon zest, funky yeast, stable and oak. Dry aftertaste. I tried this first time 10 years ago and I didn't like it. Foolish me, this is excellent.

Potent and delicious gose with complex and rich taste profile. Initial notes of agave, followed by grapefruit and tequila. Full body and plenty of sweetness coming from the 9.7 % ABV. Salty and slightly oaky. Interesting. Penni the dog also approves.

When Life Gives You Calamansi... Make Milkshake IPA!
Wonderfully odd IPA with very citrusy and sharp initial taste followed by smooth milky hoppiness, sourness, soap and surprisingly bitter aftertaste. What a perverse beer, this surely divides opinions. I found it interesting, tasty and different.

Light-bodied, yet properly tart and fruity berliner. Heavy notes of raspberry with slight wheaty background. Good for a hot day!

Massive amounts of cherries mixed with tart lambic. The cherries give bunch of cinnamony notes mixed with sour lemons. Tasty!

Tart, dryish quite thin in the end. Notes of obvious blueberry, citrus and alcohol. A bit too thin for the double series but quite good nevertheless.

Beer Geek Vanilla Shake (Whiskey Barrel Aged 2019)
Rich, smooth and malty. Notes of vanilla, coffee and cocoa. Drier than the bourbon version. Delectable.

What an acidic treat right here. Dominant notes of lemon mixed with dry tea and typical lambic. Ugly colour but delicious and intense!

Oude Geuze A L’Ancienne VAT 108bis Mono Blend
So this was made with the very last filling of foeder #108. Very intense, deep, dry and extra funky. Notes of citrus, especially lemon peel and profound oakness. Sharp dryness, especially in the beginning. Not very sour actually. Delicious.

Extra smooth, juicy and NEIPAish. Heavy aromatic hops with notes of ripe tropical fruit. Grassy notes in the aftertaste. Hardly bitter at all. Real nice and solid for sure!

Oude Schaarbeekse Kriek Boon (2018)
Notes of sour cherries and lightly cinnamon. Taste feels a bit unfinished and the sourness dissipates quite quickly. Quite good nevertheless.
