Gueuze Loerik (2019) Green

Bright acidity on the nose. Savoury, hints of lemon verbena and old hay. Sharp and bright but very dry. Long, soft bitterness and more umami brett character. Soda bread? Subtle oak, hint peppery. Finish is rich and long.

Something like happiness. Beautifully complex, long drawn out brett character. Gentle acidity. Still a nice malt character to this. Effervescent across the tongue. Smooth, elegant finish.

Unblended Oude Lambiek Foeder #19 Green

Eye wateringly tart nose. Oak, vanillin, loads of old leather and ethyl-acetate like varnish aromas in there. Very reminiscent of medium sweet cider. Huge acid content. There’s a sort of corky thing there as well. There’s a dryness to the finish.

Jackie Brown Green

Malty, nutty and hints of milk chocolate. It’s slightly tart, but going to assume it may have gotten a little warm as it’s been on the shelf a while... Bitter, creamy end with a lingering tartness. I won’t rate for the above reason.
